The only Cheerleader with a husband

Ferris Bueller's Day Off was on tv this past week, I watched the good bits: Cubs game, Snooty-Snotty French restaurant, and the best part, the parade scene.
All my old feelings from childhood about wanting to be Sloane Peterson came back :) I'm on a mission- her movie outfit-or at least something similar, maybe in a different color....not sure I can rock the White Jacket/boots combo..... maybe in Black-more my style.

I want to shine

::Sigh::

I want. I need. I miss buying heels.

Raise those brows

I am not a fan of this "trend". At first I thought it was a dirty rumor but I keep reading about it and have continued to see photos pop up proving it's existence....or at least it's Model existence.

No Thanks.

Yes Please

I feel like the universe is doing me a favor these days-
to which I have no complaints.
From the time I was 4 to about 12 I wanted to dress like my favorite
Style icons....Cyndi Lauper, Tina Turner, Prince, Janet Jackson, Madonna, Michael Jackson,
DJ Tanner, DownTown Julie Brown, and Molly Ringwald in Pretty in Pink-
My Mom was always encouraging and even helped me by making a lot of my dreamed outfits
come true but sewing them for me. But it wasn't the same...you know? Showing up to your
Kindergarten class photo looking like a Mini-Cyndi Lauper isn't the same as being a
20-something and getting to wear that same outfit in public-as a grown person.
I never thought it would be something I could do again....and look at fashion-on a fast
track to 1984-1994...and I couldn't be happier. :)
